Official: Manchester United Complete First Summer Signing
Manchester United have completed their first signing of the summer, with Memphis Depay set to join the club on June 1st for a fee believed to be between £25 million and £30 million.
The 21-year-old has been in exceptional form in the Eredivisie this season, and Louis van Gaal, who previously worked with Depay at international level with the Netherlands, is well-acquainted with his talents.
The transfer is pending a medical, which Depay is scheduled to undergo in Manchester next week.
It’s refreshing to see Manchester United moving quickly with their summer transfer plans. With the signing already in place before May is over, credit goes to Ed Woodward and Louis van Gaal for securing this deal early.
