Rangers Eye Lennon Miller – Bid in the Works?
Rangers are reportedly scouting Motherwell’s Lennon Miller, who has caught the attention of top clubs like Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Celtic. The 18-year-old is expected to leave Fir Park soon.
The midfielder, valued at £7M with add-ons and clauses, has been outstanding for the Steelmen this season. With top clubs tracking his progress, a big move seems imminent.
The £7M price tag likely puts Rangers out of the race. While there could be multiple £7M bids and Miller might choose his preferred destination, it’s just as likely he’ll go to the highest bidder, with Motherwell potentially nearing £10M given today’s inflated transfer fees.
However, that’s still down the road. The only advantage Rangers can offer Miller over the other clubs is playing time. Despite the financial appeal of Premier League sides, Miller may struggle for minutes, and even Celtic may not immediately slot him into their midfield.
Rangers offer him a better chance of regular playing time.
However, it’s still early, and while the club is monitoring him, it doesn’t necessarily mean they plan to make a bid.
Rangers have a history of missing opportunities, and this situation could end up being another example of that.
Particularly considering he’s a Scottish player at a Scottish club, with an initial cost of over £4M.
